Chris Stokes is a London based photographer specialising in portrait photography. His experience and talent combine to produce compositions that capture the essence of the subject and of the moment.

Chris spent his youth in Chesterfield and Norfolk. Always the keen photographer, he took his camera everywhere. His photographs from this time are compiled in his first publication My Life in Photography, providing a unique visual record of the seventies.

Later, Chris worked on oil rigs and spent eight years on a kibbutz in Israel - experiences which again provided an array of subjects for his art.

Chris is currently working on his third and biggest volume of photographs, dedicated to his favourite genre of portraiture.
